Colbert drills ‘Dickie Poots’ Harpootlian

It's no secret that the SC native and Comedy Central talk show comedian has a big voice for local politics...especially targeting the Democratic party. And, now he's set his heart on the state's Democratic party chair Dick Harpootlian.

Who knew Dickie Poots had such a sense of humor and could be so self-depricating? This interview with Steven Colbert has the poor chap not only admitting he’s a ridiculous politician (…”perhaps I should decide things.”) and gets audibly booed by the audience when Colbert brings up Harpootlian’s successful efforts to get Colbert kicked off the 2008 presidential ballot. But, all in all, he took it pretty well, laughed at himself and didn’t say anything totally stupid. (Ahem, we’re talking to you Miss Teen SC)
